For this quick study I simply added a gradient over the image to give it a greater sense of depth and atmosphere. I prefer this to the previous 2 studies that I had done.
I don't really understand what I'm looking at here - or perhaps it's rather an issue of 'why' I'm looking at it? I reckon each of your three images needs to be telling us something more/new about Baucis and its internal logic/culture etc.
With this kind of shot my plan was to look a bit closer to the ground of Baucis. It says within the text that they worship everything from the smallest of leaves to the stones (from what I can remember off the top of my head) from the cave painting studies I have done I wanted to incorporate these 2 ideas together to give them a connection. I was also simply trying to look at a different kind of shot, reason being is because the city itself is such a grand design and located so high in the sky that I wanted to see the smaller aspects instead.
